Luggage Reviews ratings for High Sierra are less than we had expected. High Sierra products have a cheap, back pack style appearance with an unjustified high price tag. High Sierra does have a few lower price ticket products, mainly outside the actual luggage arena, but for the most part Luggage Reviews found that High Sierra luggage and bags are priced far from their quality.  Most High Sierra sets and travel product lines appear to be intentionally directed to a juvenile market, with an adult targeted price. High Sierra back packs, travel bags, and luggage items are made of neoprene and/or nylon construction further contributing to Luggage Reviews findings that the manufacturing does not justify the pricing of these bags. The High Sierra company appears to specialize in back packs, and really should not be in the luggage industry, especially with their top of the line cost to consumers.

Admittedly, Luggage Reviews did not purchase High Sierra Company’s luggage for this review. The style and quality were to far-fetched from the asking price for Luggage Reviews to justify the investment. Therefore, in all fairness to High Sierra, no comments are offered on the durability or baggage handling of High Sierra luggage. However, during in-store side by side comparisons, the High Sierra baggage looked and felt less appealing than the eBags luggage, which as you remember we rated best because they were so drastically low in price. Luggage Reviews was compelled to wonder if High Sierra was in fact targeting small children with the colorful kids patterns and styles to influence parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles to spend more money. Luggage Reviews found that High Sierra sells price tag status, rather than quality useful luggage or travel bag value. Luggage Reviews rates High Sierra a 7 for value pricing and gives High Sierra 1 star for very low quality versus high price point.
